Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Seattle, Washington
- Start date: 8/03
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Day shift, 3x12 hours: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Ratios: 1:4–5
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
- Must work all scheduled shifts; scheduling requests outside approved time off cannot be accommodated
- Block scheduling is not available
- Locals are accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of float experience
- Float experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- High-volume experience with peripheral nerve catheters
- Pass/fail tele test
- Must pass a dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam before start
- Must complete orientation testing and pass required assessments
- 2 references required
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- Travelers must be flexible with scheduling
- Holiday coverage required: 2 holidays, including holiday eve/day; 1 of 3 major holidays may be off
- No Christmas time off
Clinical Setting
- Acute care float pool covering acute care and telemetry units, including behavioral health and respite
- Experience with ortho, neuro-stroke, cardiac telemetry, and peripheral nerve catheters is relevant
- Split 12-hour shifts may include 8 hours in one area and 4 hours in another
Additional Notes
- Epic charting
- Any solid-color scrubs are allowed; light blue scrubs are also provided on unit
- On-site parking is available for a fee
- COVID vaccination or declination is required for tracking purposes
