RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Overview

  • Travel RN position in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
  • Clinical, patient-facing role
  • 13-week contract
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
  • Holidays as required
  • Every other weekend

Unit Details

  • Medical respiratory unit with a 42-bed census
  • Primary patient population includes acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Also cares for medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical cases
  • Includes an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:6 on the main unit and 1:4 in step-down

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience
  • 1 year of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • RN - Med Surg Telemetry experience

Required Certifications

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Work Environment

  • Solid navy scrubs
  • Parking available

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
