Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Missouri
- Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
- Pharmacist experience within the last year
- Anticoagulation therapy dosing
- Clinical dosing
- Geriatric dosing
- High-alert medication dosing
- Pediatric dosing
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Renal dosing
- Warfarin dosing
- Antibiotic intravenous preparation
- Compounding
Preferred
- BLS certification
Skills and Experience
- Medication dispensing systems, including Pyxis and unit dose storage systems
- Pharmacotherapy management for cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, and renal conditions
- Cardiac dosing
- Drug shortage management
Work Environment
- No pharmacy technician coverage overnight
- Pharmacist is the only staff member in inpatient pharmacy during shift hours
- Pharmacists are not expected to attend code blues or rapid responses
- Night shift pharmacist works from a PharmacyOneSource queue to address clinical alerts
