Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• CVICU (2 years of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

• Hybrid unit with 8 cardiac ICU beds and 6 cardiac stepdown beds
• Most ICU patients are CT surgery pre- and post-op
• Stepdown patients may include CT surgery, PV, and heart failure cases
• Candidate should be comfortable with HVC

• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Sex offender search
• Education verification
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test within 12 months of start
• 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB questionnaire
• Negative TB documentation or chest X-ray
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Work history verification for the last 7 years
• One supervisor reference within the past year for CTICU assignments
