Mammography Tech
Overview
- Location: Maryville, Illinois
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays
- Hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Caseload: 30–40 patients per day
- First-time travelers accepted: No
- Floating: Not required
- On-call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Illinois
- Mammography Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- ARRT (Mammography)
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Breast Ultrasound or Registered Breast Sonographer
- DEXA experience
Key Job Duties
- Perform outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography exams
- Perform bone density studies
- Perform stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Perform magseed and wire localization procedures
- Handle post-clip placements
Schedule Details
- Monday and Friday: 08:00–16:30
- Tuesday through Thursday: 09:00–17:30
- Rotating Saturdays, typically every 6th
Additional Notes
- Comfortable with post-clip exams is expected
- Tech will not be required to learn biopsies or localization exams
- Meditech experience is highly preferred
- Finalized time off requests must be included with submission
- No time off within the first week of start
- No more than 10 days of time off per assignment
