Cath Lab RN
Overview
- Location: Evanston, Illinois
- Employment type: Full time
- Shift: Days, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Schedule includes a 30-minute on-call response time requirement
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provide care for adult and geriatric patients during cardiovascular procedures
- Support patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs in a surgical/procedural setting
- Collaborate with physicians and communicate patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and manage supplies and inventory
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Assess and document patient condition in the cardiovascular lab
- Participate in quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience with at least 1 year of experience
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- DCI/BVP
