Overview
- Contract RN role in Rockford, Illinois
- Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit Coverage
- Medical Surgical
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Stroke Neuro
- Step-Down ICU
- ICU
- May float to Medical Surgical if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Cardiology experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and state practice laws
- Document care according to standards
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities
- Provide clinical guidance to other units/departments as needed
- Escalate patient safety and patient experience concerns appropriately
