PICU RN Travel/Contract Job

Location

• Cleveland, Ohio

Schedule

• Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1.5 years of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Adolescent or Pediatric patients
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring
• EKG rhythm recognition
• Inotropes administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in epilepsy monitoring
• NIH Stroke Certification

Additional Job Details

• Pediatric intensive care unit role
• Care for patients up to age 25
• ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments are completed during orientation and must be passed
• EKGs and inotropes are part of the role
• Shift rotation may be adjusted based on hospital operational needs

Onboarding / Compliance

• Background check required before start
• Fingerprinting required before start
• Education verification required
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Fit mask clearance required within 12 months of start
• Tdap documentation required
• TB screening or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and flu documentation required
• Drug screening required
• References required
• Skills checklist required annually
