Oncology Chemo Certified RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Washington, DC
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Rotating day/night schedule
- Every other weekend, with scheduling based on unit needs
- Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Patient ratio: 1:4–5
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology (2 years of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- One month per diem experience
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Administer Chemo experience
- Telemetry experience
- IV Starts experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- BMT/HEME/medical oncology experience
- Strong med-surg experience
Work Environment
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Flu vaccine required
- Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable as long as there are no other hospital logos
Additional Notes
- Initial schedule is set by unit needs; future scheduling may include preferences
- Cerner is used for charting
