Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Assignment Overview
- 13-week assignment
- Starts as soon as possible
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Every other weekend
Location
- Putnam, Connecticut
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Connecticut
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 3 years of ICU experience
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification, or completion within 3 months of hire
Unit Details
- ICU/CCU has 17 beds total
- 6 critical care beds
- 11 telemetry beds
- 2 beds for ventilated patients
Clinical Expectations
- Ability to recognize normal and abnormal cardiac monitoring patterns and implement appropriate treatment processes
- Skill in hemodynamic monitoring, including procedure, equipment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation
