Description

Pharmacist Outpatient

Job Overview

  • Schedule: Either 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
  • Work setting: Retail pharmacy
  • Patient age groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
  • Typical daily volume: 250–300 patients/orders per day
  • Staffing ratio: 1:2 on days; 1:1 on weekends
  • First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pharmacist license in Ohio
  • Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
  • Pharmacist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Background check required
  • Education verification required
  • State license verification required
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
  • Skills checklist required
  • 2 professional references required within 2 years of start, with at least 1 from a leader
  • RPh certification

Additional Compliance Requirements

  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
  • HHS/OIG check required
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
  • Physician statement required within the last 12 months
  • N95 fit test required within 12 months of start
  • Tdap required within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 3 months of start
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
