Description
Radiation Therapist
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Overview
This role involves independently performing radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of treatment aids. The position supports a comprehensive cancer center and includes treatment setups across all treatment sites.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Hawaii
- Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS
- ARRT (T)
- 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and/or techniques
Clinical Skills / Treatment Experience
- Proficiency on a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator
- Proficiency with ARIA EMR
- Ability to treat 25–30 patients per day
- Experience with 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatments
Schedule
- Rotating shifts
- Weekends and holidays required
Start / Onboarding Notes
- Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of the offer
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for a Friday employee health appointment
