Operating Room Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Scheduling: 3x12s or 4x10s; no block scheduling
- Call: 8–12 hours per month
- Setting: Main OR at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Local candidates: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- CNOR
- Travel experience
- Experience with ortho trauma and spine
- Experience with neuro/craniotomy for tumor cases
- Experience with robotic surgery
- Experience with bariatric cases
- Experience with laparoscopic and open abdominal cases
- Strong trauma skills
Key Clinical Experience
- Ortho trauma and spine
- Neuro/craniotomy for tumor
- Robotic surgery
- Bariatric surgery
- Laparoscopic and open benign and oncologic GYN and general surgery cases
- Trauma cases

- EPIC charting system
