Oncology Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 5x8s, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
- Hours per week: 40
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Ambulatory oncology clinical RN coordinator supporting radiation oncology clinic operations.
- Core responsibilities include triage, patient flow coordination, symptom escalation, procedure support, and cross-coverage for care coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Oncology (3 years of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
- Ambulatory Care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- OCN certification preferred
Certification / Education Requirement
- Must hold one current cancer-specific certification in the nurse’s specialty, or meet Commission on Cancer education requirements through completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours each accreditation cycle
Schedule Notes
- Evening triage coverage is part of the role, approximately 5:30 PM–8:30 PM
