Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • PreOp experience
  • IntraOp experience
  • PostOp experience
  • Preoperative experience
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience

Work Setting

  • Operating room role with variable start times based on surgical cases

Additional Requirements

  • Background check
  • Education verification
  • Competency exam
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
  • 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start
  • Photo for badge
  • Signed facility confidentiality, crime disclosure, and conflict of interest forms
  • Tdap documentation or declination
  • TB clearance documentation
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and flu documentation or declinations as applicable
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

  • Block scheduling may be discussed during interview

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
