Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Chicago, Illinois
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Rotated weekends
- Start ASAP
- Local candidates are accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Criminal background check within 6 months of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- N95 fit testing within 1 year of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB screening within required timeframe before start
- Drug screen within 1 year of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- 14-plate Ishihara color vision test required
- Unit-specific competency exam required
- Core training modules and OSHA mandatory training required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required
- Employment application must be submitted
- Badge photo and signed fingernail policy required before start
