Description

Interventional Radiology RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  • Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Contract length: 26 weeks
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Local candidates are accepted

Schedule and Call

  • Weekends are required based on the call rotation
  • Call is required, including being able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes
  • RTO after booking is not allowed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
  • 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

  • PALS
  • Circulate experience
  • Ventilator experience

Unit Details

  • Interventional radiology setting with pre- and post-procedure coverage as needed
  • Typical workload is 16 cases per day across three IR rooms
  • No float requirement
  • Scrubs are provided

Orientation

  • 8-hour unit orientation
  • Hospital orientation occurs during the first week
  • Candidate must be available for classes each day during orientation

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
