ECMO Specialist
Job Overview
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Contract length: 8 weeks
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, may change based on need
- Floating: Required between CVICU and PICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU (1 year of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Adult patients
- ECMO Specialist experience
- Adult intensive care experience
- ECMO ICU experience
- Experience with Epic
Role Highlights
- Works with critically ill patients requiring ECMO support
- Responsible for device management in the ICU
- May manage ECMO equipment during bedside cannulation and cannula repositioning procedures
- Works alongside ICU RN and RT staff
- Assignment includes both pediatric ICU and adult CVICU settings
