Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Twin Falls, Idaho
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Self-scheduling available
- Block scheduling available
- Department meetings required once per month
- Every other weekend
- Holidays as needed
- Low-census call/standby per contract
Unit and Patient Population
- Respiratory Therapy
- Inpatient and ER coverage
- Patients range from NICU to geriatrics
- Areas covered include ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, a small pediatric unit, and Level III NICU
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- NICU experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- CRT or RRT credential via NBRC
Preferred / Additional Skills
- STABLE and NRP are required only for NICU or for travelers handling babies
Responsibilities
- Draw and analyze ABGs
- Provide breathing treatments
- Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilators
- Assist with bedside bronchoscopy
- Assist with intubation and may place an LMA

Orientation
- 1 week, based on experience
Other Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- A team lead or charge therapist is present on each shift
- The traveler may serve as charge depending on experience and willingness
- Any color scrubs are allowed
- Radius rule: candidates must live outside 50 miles from the facility
