RRT-NICU

Job Overview

  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Contract length: 12 weeks
  • Patient population: Pediatric, NICU, PICU, and CVICU

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience working with Neonate patients

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

  • Two fingerprinting processes are required before start
  • Background check required before start
  • Transcript or diploma required
  • Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask clearance within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
  • Drug screen within 12 months of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation
  • Unit-specific competency exam within 12 months of start
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • Online training modules must be completed before orientation
  • Badge pickup required before start
  • I-9/E-Verify attestation required
  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried while on assignment

Work Expectations

  • May float to nearby pediatric and NICU locations
  • All work history must be included in the profile
  • Scheduling and requested time off must be communicated during submission and interview

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
