Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool
Overview
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 6 weeks
- Shift: Day or night, 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekly hours: 36
- Guaranteed hours: 48
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: May float within scope between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
- Locals accepted: Yes
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- Charting: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Additional Requirements
- Must be comfortable floating to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
- RTO limit: 7 days maximum
- If taking 1 consecutive week of RTO, the contract must be extended by 1 week to make up the time
- Government-issued photo ID

- Transcript or diploma accepted if education verification is pending at start
- Medication calculation / pass-fail testing at orientation

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
