CVICU Registered Nurse
Assignment Details
- Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within scope to like units
- Local candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus
- On-call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Work Environment
- Ratios: 1:2-3
- First-time travelers: Preferred not accepted, but may be considered by the manager based on experience
- Block scheduling: Open to accommodation at manager discretion
Additional Notes
- Return to traveler status requires 1 year away
- Maximum of 2 contracts, with only 1 extension allowed; then 6 months away before returning
- Interview availability must be provided with submission
- Epic is used for charting
