Neonatal RN

Overview

  • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Assignment length: 8 weeks

  • Schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
  • Shift options: Day, evening, or night
  • Weekends: Every other
  • Call: No

Job Summary

Provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents using the nursing process, with collaboration across the care team. This role requires floating between multiple hospital locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • NRP

Work Location Expectations

RNs must be willing to float between all three hospital locations as needed in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Additional Compliance Items

  • Criminal background check within 1 year prior to start
  • Fingerprinting and Minnesota DHS NetStudy clearance process required
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Fit testing within 12 months prior to start
  • Tdap required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
  • Drug test within 1 year prior to start
  • Influenza vaccination or signed declination required
  • Employment application required
  • Respiratory medical evaluation questionnaire required prior to start
  • COVID guidelines must be reviewed prior to start

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
