Job Overview

  • Specialty: Surgical Services
  • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours
  • Hours per week: 40

Schedule

  • Primary shift is 6:45 AM–3:15 PM.
  • A second day shift, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, is worked most of the time.
  • An evening shift, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM, may be required as needed.
  • Weekend coverage may be required up to 2 weekends per month.
  • On-call may be required up to 2 weekends per month, up to 2 weekdays per week, and on holidays if needed.

Required Qualifications

  • CVOR Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NBSTSA or NCCT

Case Experience

  • Cardiac surgery cases, including CABG, AVR, MVRR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm/dissection, total artificial heart, heart transplant, LVAD implantation, minimally invasive valve replacement, and trans-catheter mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacement
  • Vascular surgery cases, including endovascular and open vascular procedures such as AAA, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm, endarterectomy, bypass for peripheral artery disease, amputation, ECMO decannulation, and repositioning

Additional Notes

  • No floating within scope
  • No block schedule accommodation
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 100-mile radius
  • Pending state license is not accepted
  • RTO limit: no more than 5 days
  • Scrubs are provided for this position

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
