Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Greenville, South Carolina
Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 19:00–07:30
- Weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to change based on need
Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role
- Float between CVICU and PICU
- Work with both pediatric and adult patients
- ICU-based ECMO support role
- Manage ECMO device during bedside ECMO cannulation and/or cannula repositioning
- Work alongside ICU RN and RT under provider team direction
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
- Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Adult patients
- ECMO specialist experience
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Focus
- Post-cardiac surgery
- Cardiogenic shock
- Traumatic injury
- ARDS / respiratory failure
- Other critical acute illness requiring ECMO support
Equipment
- Cardiohelp ECMO console
- Centrimag ECMO console
- Cardio Quip heater-cooler unit
- Glucometer for point-of-care testing
