NICU Registered Nurse
Location
- Edmonds, Washington
Job Type
- Travel/Contract
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Overview
- Level II NICU admissions and normal newborn care
- Care for infants 32 weeks or greater
- Float as needed
- May attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
- Uses CPAP/BiPap, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
- NICU nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they already have the skill and competencies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- CLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Notes
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before qualifying for a travel position
- Float policy acknowledgment is required
