Schedule
- 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- On-call 1–2 times per week and every 3rd weekend
- May float between two campuses
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1
Contract Length
13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Unit / Case Mix
- Primarily OR cases
- Limited pediatric cases (orthopedics only)
- Adult and geriatric patients
- Surgical cases include orthopedics, podiatry, hand, spine/crani, general surgery, and urology
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
