  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing

Description

ICU RN Travel Contract

Location

  • Bowling Green, Kentucky

Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 3x12-hour shifts
  • 19:00 to 07:00
  • 36 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Unit Details

  • Neuro ICU
  • May float to stepdown with a 1:4 ratio

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kentucky
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (9 months of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • At least 9 months of total travel experience
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Stroke experience
  • Bedside dysphagia screening competency

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRRT experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a certified stroke center critical care unit
  • Meditech experience

Clinical Competencies

  • Stroke signs and symptoms competency, including BE-FAST
  • Bedside dysphagia screening competency
  • Familiarity with current stroke guidelines and performance measures for acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
  • IV-tPA administration and post-tPA monitoring competency

Additional Notes

  • 65-mile radius restriction
  • Local travelers are accepted at a lower rate

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
