Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Location: Springfield, Illinois
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (18:45–07:15)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Accepted
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float as needed
- On-call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PICC line management experience
- Experience starting IVs
- Willingness to care for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients
Additional Job Details
- Must be willing to care for trach and laryngectomy patients and learn these skills if needed
- May be assigned up to a 1:7 ratio if needed
- Cerner experience is preferred
