Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 4x12 hours
• Hours per week: 48
• Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in high-acuity and high-pace environments
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to circulate during deliveries
• Newborn care skills including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Antepartum experience
• Post Partum experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced
• AWHONN Intermediate
• 5 years of high-risk experience

Unit Details

• High-risk, high-volume labor and delivery setting
• May float to postpartum, antepartum, and sister facilities that provide mother/baby care
• Works with midwifery clients, private OBs, adult recovery services, and community care clinics
• Uses electronic fetal monitoring
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• 4 operating rooms
• Average daily census: 15
• Approximately 500–600 deliveries per month
• 31 rooms and 31 beds

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Pre-approved time off is considered case by case
• EPIC experience is required
