Role Overview
- Mother Baby Unit RN
- Provides postpartum, antepartum, gynecological, and well-newborn care for a high-risk population
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Maternal - Newborn (1 year of experience)
- Maternal - Newborn experience within the last year
- Antepartum experience
- Experience with Epic
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Maternal Newborn Certification
- Inpatient Obstetric Certification
- International Board of Certified Lactation Consultation (IBCLC)
Additional Notes
- Floating may be possible if the clinician has labor skills
- No on-call requirement
- Standard patient ratios are 1:3 for stable normal couplets and 1:2 for couplets with complications
