Labor and Delivery / Postpartum / Newborn Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Contract role in Fort Defiance, Arizona
  • 12-hour day shift
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • 16-week contract

Clinical Focus

  • Labor and delivery
  • Postpartum rooms
  • Newborn care
  • Breastfeeding support
  • May occasionally cover as charge nurse after charge nurse training

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery (5 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • Post Partum experience
  • Nursery experience
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or ALSO issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Advanced FHM or RNC-EFM

Additional Notes

  • Travelers may occasionally float to other departments where they are qualified to work
  • Floating may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
