CVPICU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract position in Washington, DC
• 13-week assignment
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Day or night 12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduled
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must be able to rotate shifts every 3–4 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Floating may be required within scope to other critical care units, including NICU and PICU

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in District of Columbia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVPICU (2 years of experience)
• CVPICU experience within the last year
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
• Photo required upon contract signature

Additional Requirements

• No more than 7 days of requested time off
• If a full week of time off is taken, it must be made up at the end of the contract
• Must be able to provide a government-issued photo ID
• Background check, education verification, and references are required
• Pre-employment health screening and immunization documentation are required
• Drug screen required
• Must complete facility onboarding, competency, and orientation requirements before start

• Pediatric critical care environment
• Magnet, teaching, Level I pediatric trauma center
