Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Location

  • Bend, Oregon

Contract

  • Travel/contract assignment
  • 8 weeks
  • Night shift: 3x12, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Weekend coverage required: every other weekend or 8 weekend shifts
  • Floating may be required within scope, including to a northern campus low-risk family birthing unit
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • No on-call requirement
  • RTO limit: 7 days

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Post Partum experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • FHM

Preferred

  • Epic experience

Compliance and onboarding requirements

  • Diploma or transcript on file
  • Education verification at highest level
  • 7-year criminal background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Photo for badge
  • Signed confidentiality, access, compliance, privacy, and emergency contact documents
  • Physical exam
  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity documentation
  • Negative 12-panel drug screen
  • Flu vaccination or declination/exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination record if previously vaccinated, or declination/exemption if never vaccinated
  • Respiratory safety clearance
  • Annual skills checklist

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
