Inpatient Pharmacist
Location
- Sitka, Alaska

- 4x10 shifts, 7:30am–6:30pm
- Includes weekends, holidays, and call time
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length

Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Alaska
- Pharmacist (2 years of experience)
- Pharmacist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Pharm.D. degree, or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree for candidates licensed prior to 2003
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a nationally recognized pharmacy residency program
Key Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, legality, interactions, allergies, lab abnormalities, and follow-up needs
- Provide clinical consultation, patient counseling, and drug therapy education
- Enter prescriptions into pharmacy software and verify finished prescription orders
- Perform chart reviews, medication therapy management, and refill recommendations
- Direct pharmacy support personnel and verify daily technician activities
- Participate in quality control, quality improvement, committee work, and pharmacy-run clinics
- Support medication inventory, formulary selection, and health promotion/disease prevention activities
