Outpatient Surgery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Abilene, Texas
- Outpatient Surgery Center setting
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Monday through Friday
- No call, weekends, or holidays
- Start date: September
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Outpatient Surgery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NURSYS verification
- Background check
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify or attestation
- 2 references within 3 years of start
- Resume/application copy
- Skills checklist

- Texas DADS Employability Status Check
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry check
Additional Requirements
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Pass/fail testing acknowledgement
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Drug screen within 10 business days before start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- TB questionnaire
- Fit mask testing
- Facility-specific acknowledgements and forms prior to start
Notes
- Orientation modules are required and take about 3–4 hours
- Parking is available for orientation and employee parking after orientation at no fee
- Onsite fit mask testing is available for $15 cash
