MRI Tech
Job Overview
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Schedule: Block schedule, Thursday through Monday
- Shift: Night shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Patient population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Average daily volume: 35–40 cases per day
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist (2 years of experience)
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
- Experience with Abdominal imaging
- Experience with Female and Male Pelvis imaging
- Experience with Face/Neck imaging
- Experience with Hip/Bony Pelvis imaging
- Experience with Knee imaging
- Experience with Shoulder imaging
Required Experience
- Experience in adult ICU, adult outpatient, and pediatric acute care settings
- Proficiency in imaging: abdominal, female and male pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, hip/bony pelvis, knee, and shoulder
- Familiarity with PACS and Siemens equipment
Key Procedures
- Fusion (non-brain)
- Gradient echo imaging
- Image post-processing, including ADC mapping and subtraction
- Maximum intensity projection (MIP)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Perfusion
- Spectroscopy
- Spin echo images
- Surface coils
- T1- and T2-weighted imaging
- Spine imaging: cervical, lumbar, and thoracic
Documentation and Screening
- Emergency contact form
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 1 year of start
- Proof of fingerprint completion
- Background acknowledgement form
- Employment application
- Skills checklist
- Professional references: 2 required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or other formal leader
- Physical exam
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Drug screen
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- Tdap
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or vaccination documentation
Additional Notes
- EPIC is used for electronic documentation
- Parking is available through multiple permit options, including one with shuttle service to the medical center, at additional cost
