Radiation Therapist

Job Overview

  • Location: Arlington, Virginia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Shift length: 8 hours
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Daily volume: 30–40 patients per day
  • Start: As listed in the posting

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in Virginia
  • Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT (T)
  • Experience with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
  • Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • Experience with IMRT dosimetry systems
  • Experience with Electron Beam Therapy
  • Experience with Electron Field treatment
  • Experience with Respiratory Gating/Breath Hold techniques for Left Breast treatment
  • Experience with Heterotopic Bone treatment
  • Experience with Superior Vena Cava treatment
  • Experience with Gynecomastia treatment
  • Experience with Prophylactic Treatments

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Minimal time off requested
  • Any scrub color is allowed
  • Flu vaccination is required during flu season, unless an approved medical or religious exemption is in place

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
