Location: Buffalo, Missouri

Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
- Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- NBCOT
- Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting
Experience Notes
- New graduates are acceptable if they have Level II fieldwork experience; Level I observation experience is not sufficient
Role Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
- Develop and adjust treatment plans
- Provide rehabilitative treatment interventions, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
- Assess progress, evaluate outcomes, and make referrals as needed
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
- Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the care team
- Complete discharge summaries and required documentation
- Record treatment minutes accurately
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed
- Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
Practice Expectations
- Follow regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
