Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
• Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• NBCOT
• Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting

Experience Notes

• New graduates are acceptable if they have Level II fieldwork experience; Level I observation experience is not sufficient

Role Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
• Develop and adjust treatment plans
• Provide rehabilitative treatment interventions, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess progress, evaluate outcomes, and make referrals as needed
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the care team
• Complete discharge summaries and required documentation
• Record treatment minutes accurately
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students

• Follow regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
