Labor & Delivery RN
Location
Newark, Delaware
Contract
13 weeks
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour nights
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required
- No call
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Delaware
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Setting
- Labor & Delivery unit
- 21–30 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
Responsibilities and Experience Highlights
- Labor and delivery care including induction of labor, cesarean section delivery, external cephalic version, fetal demise, and intrauterine fetal death
- Epidural management
- Magnesium sulfate administration
- Pitocin titration
- Insulin drips
Float / Coverage
- Float to areas within acuity
- Float support areas: antenatal, high risk, OB triage, postpartum
Interview Process
- Voice Advantage interview required
- Nurse manager screening/interview required
Additional Notes
- Cerner charting, with conversion to Epic
- Ceil blue scrubs provided
- Overtime is not authorized
- Incidental overtime is not authorized
