Labor & Delivery RN
Location
- Newark, Delaware
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Long-term assignment
- 36 hours per week
Shift
- Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule expectations
- Every other weekend
- Holidays required
- Floating required to areas within acuity
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Delaware
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit details
- Labor & Delivery unit
- 21–30 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
Common patient care and procedures
- Labor
- Induction of labor
- Cesarean section delivery
- External cephalic version
- Fetal demise and intrauterine fetal death
- Epidural management
- Magnesium sulfate administration
- Pitocin titration
- Insulin drips
Floating areas
- Antenatal
- High risk
- OB triage
- Postpartum
Charting
- Cerner, transitioning to Epic
Additional notes
- Scrubs are provided
- Overtime and incidental overtime are not authorized
- Meal breaks are expected to be taken as scheduled

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
