Registered Nurse — Med Surg/Telemetry

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Mooresville, North Carolina
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Target start date: 9/8/2026
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • On-call: none
  • Block scheduling: not allowed
  • First-time travelers: accepted
  • Local candidates: accepted within 75 miles
  • Orientation: biweekly
  • Scrub color: royal blue

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

  • Unit-specific competency exam required
  • 2 professional references, both from employment within 12 months of start; at least 1 must be a supervisor
  • Employment application with 7 years of work history
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Background check must be completed before start
  • Drug test required within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
  • Tdap/Td vaccination required every 10 years
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and polio immunization/documentation requirements apply
  • E-Verify or attestation required
  • Pass/fail testing required at orientation
  • Guest account setup required before clearance

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
