Description
RRT Travel Contract
Overview
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 18:00–06:00
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Military
- Education verification related to the specialty
- Background check
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days
- Physical exam within 1 year
- TB screening within 1 year
- Tdap within the last 10 years
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation or vaccination history
- Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or approved flu exemption during flu season
Schedule Requirements
- Nights required
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required
- Floating within scope as needed
- No block scheduling
- No on-call
Work Setting
- Short-term acute care
- Level III trauma center
- Teaching hospital
- Must be comfortable working with adults and children in ICU
- Must be comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
- Pending license is not accepted
- Return travelers must be away for 1 year before returning
- Assignment extensions are limited to 2 contracts total, with only 1 extension allowed before a 6-month break is required
- Only 4 days of requested time off are allowed, and holidays are not permitted
