RN - SCU

Job Overview

Travel RN position in Damariscotta, Maine
Specialty: SCU/IMC
Shift options: 6a-6p or 6p-6a
36 guaranteed hours per week
Every other weekend required
No call for core hours
Occasional float to medical-surgical

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Intermediate Care (5 years of experience)
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
Travel experience required
Vasoactive drips experience
Ventilator experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Unit Details

8-bed unit
Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 4:1
Unit uses ventilators, ceiling lifts, Plumb Pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots
Patients include SCU, IMC, MS, and rare swing patients

Preferred Experience

ICU/SCU background

Work Environment

Navy blue scrubs

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
