Step Down RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Hours per week: 36
• Floating: Required to float to like units within scope
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: 1 holiday
• On-call: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS required
• NURSYS verification required
• State license verification required
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates

Additional Requirements

• EPIC charting experience
• Pass/fail basic dysrhythmia exam during orientation
• NIH Stroke Certification
• PALS
• TNCC
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit test completed before start
• Current Tdap vaccine or Tdap titer
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire annually
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine exemption or vaccination documentation required prior to start
• Background check, education verification, fingerprinting, and state-specific screening documents required before start
