Medical Surgical Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Saint Marys, Ohio
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed within scope
• Start date: ASAP

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Assignment Notes

• Locals are not allowed within 50 miles
• Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
• Call is not required

Compliance / Onboarding

• Background check required
• Fingerprinting required before start; results may be pending at start
• State fingerprint attestation required
• Pre-employment physical within 30 days of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB screening required
• Tdap required within 10 years of start
• Flu vaccination required during flu season; exemptions may be requested for medical or religious reasons
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
• Hepatitis B documentation or signed declination required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Competency exam required
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
• Photo for badge required
• Confidentiality statement required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
