Cath Lab RN

Location

South Charleston, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

3 x 12-hour day shifts
Rotating call up to 7 days per 4-week schedule
Mandatory call/standby required
Call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac Cath Lab (1 year of experience)
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Pre/Post Cath Lab experience

Unit Details

Cath Lab with 2 suites/labs
Average of 5–10 cases per day
Common procedures include diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemaker, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, Permacaths, and venograms

Responsibilities

Circulate, sedate, and complete documentation
Cath pre/post recovery care

Additional Information

Surgical attire provided
Lead not provided
No floating required
Siemens software and equipment used
Orientation includes general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, computer training, and up to 36 hours in the department

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
