Schedule
- 7PM - 7AM
- Every other weekend
- No call
- No floating
Unit / Setting
- Mixed cardiac and medical ICU
- Patient types include DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilators
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
- Experience with Impellas
- Experience with post-op cardiovascular surgeries
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- One year of experience in a critical care setting
- New graduates accepted
Onboarding / Orientation
- New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- Completion of organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation is required
- Annual competency verification is required

- 13 weeks
