PACU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8 hours
Hours per week: 40
Schedule notes: Variable shift hours depending on daily schedule

Work Setting

Fast-paced outpatient surgery center
Heavy ophthalmology cases, including cataract extraction and local pain management
Ortho cases are a plus, including total joint replacement, rotator cuff/ACL repair, and carpal tunnel release

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
IV experience/proficiency

Schedule Expectations

No on-call requirement
No weekend requirement
No floating requirement

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are welcome
RTO must be provided at time of submission; requests after submission will not be accepted
Scrubs are provided

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
