Cath Lab Tech

Job Overview

  • Location: New London, Connecticut
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Call: Required every 5 days, including weekends

Role Summary

  • Primary assignment is in the cath lab and electrophysiology areas.
  • Department coverage includes cath lab, EP, and IR.
  • Procedures include LHC/RHC, PCI, STEMI, temporary pacer, IABP insertion, Swan-Ganz, EP implants, ablations, and peripheral angiography.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in Connecticut
  • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience
  • ARRT
  • ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

  • Short-term acute care hospital
  • Level III trauma center
  • 252 staffed beds

  • Driver’s license or state ID matching legal name
  • 7-year criminal background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • Negative TB documentation or chest X-ray
  • TB questionnaire
  • Drug screen
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
